Volunteer Spotlight: Robert Shuford

Robert joined the BCCF board of directors when the organization was just a year old.  He brought with him experience from working as Chair of the Buckhead Christian Ministries, which is a BCCF like organization serving the greater Atlanta GA area. You may see Robert on Baldy as a member of the yellow jacket team, at St. Thomas Episcopal Church leading the ushers, or on the pickle ball court.  He and his wife Margo are very active in this community in many other ways, but we are extremely thankful for his service to BCCF as Treasurer and valuable board member: Robert Shuford is President of Shuford Financial Partners; he specializes in insurance and estate planning with a focus on life, disability, and long-term care insurance. Robert works with individuals and small business owners to analyze their protection needs and prepare strategies to meet their objectives today and in the future. In addition, he also serves as an insurance resource for advisors and their clients.

Robert graduated from University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Arts & Sciences in 1985 and began his insurance career in 1987. Robert is licensed with multiple insurance carriers for optimum client benefit. He has been the recipient of numerous awards, including the AXA Advisors Hall of Fame and Million Dollar Round Table. Robert completed Oglethorpe University Financial Planning degree in 2005. Robert has consistently proven himself to be dedicated and passionate in helping his clients with protection planning.

Robert lives in Hailey, ID with his wife, Margot. Their daughter, Anna, lives in Tampa, FL. Robert is an avid tennis, pickleball player and skier. In his spare time, Robert works for the Sun Valley Company as a Yellow Jacket on Bald Mountain. He also enjoys hiking Quigley Canyon with their golden retriever, Bella. He is active in his community, served on the Board of Trustees at Mount Vernon Presbyterian School in Atlanta, GA for 6 years, co-chaired the very successful Capital Campaign at MVPS, former Chair of the Board of Trustees at Buckhead Christian Ministry, co-chaired the Annual Spring Gala for the Agape Family and Youth Center, and has volunteered for many other ministries.
